Do people take their immortal soul too lightly? I came across an article Soul for sale on ebay

Whether you think this is wrong or right, what I want to know is do we own our souls? Would you be able to sell it even if you wanted to?

Doesn't our soul belong to God? I would like to think that God owns our soul and would keep it safe from harm, keep it locked in his chest with all the other souls. For isnt the soul a part of God.
